Hi there. On Windows Vista, there's a quick launch bar thing at the top (not sure exactly what it's called) but this morning when I turned on my laptop (Dell XPS 1530) it wasn't there anymore and I soon realized that it's actually a pain not being able to use it. Any help on this would be appreciated.

^^ It seems the previous toolbar is already present but is set to auto-hidden. Try to move your cursor at the end of all 4 screen sides and it should show the toolbar. Otherwise, click on Desktop and press "Ctrl+F4" or "Alt+F4" and it should show a message to close the toolbar.

Been wanting this for a while in Vista, finally found it through here. But I have a problem. Sometimes it disappears for me, when I click "Show Desktop" or using the Win+D command. Also, when applications take fullscreen, it disappears till I remaximize another window. I have it currently set up as "Always on top" and "Autohide." This symptom was even worse on my XP machine. Any reason for this? Thanks.

Thanks Vishal - I've decided to use objectDock plus to overcome this issue...I guess in future builds they'll include that option, since it's something really basic but necessary...

I'm loving Win7 - If everything keeps working like it is I'll certainly upgrade my winXP.

^^ This functionality has been removed in Windows 7. May be they'll re-enable it in later builds?

Hi - does anyone know how to accomplish this on Windows7? - I created a new toolbar but I'm unable to move it out of the taskbar... I like having a toolbar with my most accessed applications on top of the desktop - but I haven't been able to do it in win7. Can anyone let me know if they have done it?

Thanks!
