I wrote a program to change Owner and organization registry entries so you don’t have to muck about in the registry. Works for Windows XP and VISTA. However with windows vista you must right click on the program and select ‘Run as Administrator’ or the program won’t have sufficient access to the registry.

this is all very well, but i searched on google for server 2008, these dont apply on this.
is there a way to do the same, im sick of ms claiming property of computers i use and repair

I have a profile for a user that is now used by someone else, the files still show the old name like: so&so's documents. Is it possible to change the owner for these files to the name of the new user?
