How to Add Run, Search and Window Switcher aka Flip 3D in Desktop Context Menu in Windows Vista and 7?

Yep. You read it right. You can add shortcuts to Run, Search or Flip 3D in your Desktop context menu (the menu which appears when you right-click on Desktop) in Windows Vista and 7.

To Add "Run" in Desktop Context Menu:

^^ Open Registry Editor and goto following key:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\

Delete the desired key under it.

  • Tried to add all three of the above shortcuts to my right click context menu on my x64 Windows 7 Home Premium and only got the search option in my right click context menu after running all three of the reg files and adding them to the registry. I then tried adding them again with no luck the second time either. Any suggestions or answers for me. Thanks Justin

^^ You can only have one at a time.
