NOTE: If you are facing problems while saving the file after editing in resource hacker, then make sure you have disabled WFP (Windows File Protection) service using WFP Patcher, it can be found in our "Download" section.
Also if you are getting error "Can't create file...", that means you have edited and saved the file in past and there is a backup file which need to be deleted before saving this file again. Go to "System32" folder and you'll see a file having "shell32_original.dll". Delete it and try to save the file in resource hacker.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial for making your RUN dialog box look-a-like mine:
I have attached both images, just extract them and add them as following:
1.) Open %windir%\System32\Shell32.dll file.
2.) Add 404.bmp at 404 location.
3.) Add 405.bmp at 405 location.
4.) Now download following text file, open it and copy the whole contents then goto Dialog -> 1003 -> 1033 and replace existing code with the copied code:
You can change the strings according to your needs.

^^ Because you have already saved the file in past. Delete "shell32_original.dll" file in System32 folder and then try to save it again.

whenever i bootup my computer it asks me to set the date and time by going into BIOS by pressing F1, it has started happening recently so please tell me to rectify this.
and also tell me where do i hav to add 404 bmp

^^ You have to change CMOS battery in your cabinet. It'll be a small coin sized battery placed in motherboard. Purchase a new one which will cost hardly 20 bucks and replace the motherboard battery with new one.
Reg. to 404 BMP file, you need to add it at 404 location. Please read "All about Resource hacker" tutorial for how to add it.

thanks VG, i added new resource and it workd.
one last thing i would like to ask you is that i tried to change my bootskin using stardock software. i applied it from the software but when i reboot it shows me the custom skin but after that it gives a blue screen and resets again and it keeps happening till i go in safe mode and uninstall bootskin software.
help me out plz

^^ Bootskin has issues with some computers. If you are facing problems, then use Tuneup Utilities.

just one thing if i change bootskin using tuneup utilities and then uninstall it will it remain changed or go back to default xp? cause i dont hav keygen or crack for tune up 2008
