Google has released 3.0 version of its famous web browser "Chrome". Here is what the Official Google Blog says:
This release comes hot on the heels of 51 developer, 21 beta and 15 stable updates and 3,505 bugfixes in the past year. For you, that means significant speed improvements for the browser as well as a fresh redesign of some of its most loved features.
We've improved by more than 150% in Javascript performance since our very first beta, and by more than 25% since the most recent stable release.
When you download and fire up this latest release of Google Chrome, you'll notice that the New Tab page sports a new look. We've redesigned the New Tab page so that it's easy to use and easily customizable. Now you can rearrange thumbnails of your most-visited websites by simply clicking and dragging your mouse. Additionally, you can pin thumbnails to a spot so they don't disappear even if your browsing habits change. This way, you can easily get to the websites you care about with just one click.
We've also improved one of the most used and loved features of Google Chrome, the Omnibox. Because it's a search bar as well as the web address bar, the multi-talented Omnibox helps you get to the sites you're looking for with just a few keystrokes. With this release, we've optimized the presentation of the drop-down menu and added little icons to help you distinguish between suggested sites, searches, bookmarks, and sites from your browsing history.
We're very excited about HTML5 becoming standard in modern browsers, and continued to add HTML5 capabilities to this stable release.
After testing out Themes for Google Chrome in the beta channel, we're finally releasing it in this stable release. Themes allow you to deck out your browser with colors, patterns and images. We'll be bringing more Themes for the browser soon, but in the meantime, you can change the theme of your browser by visiting the Themes Gallery.

Yes, the only main downside to Chrome along with other minor ones.
I want a portable version because I refuse to unpack this into my drives. I didn't like chrome at all before.

Hey VG, you should add the link for the portable EXE as well.

Theres chrome 4.0 already... i have it...
Levar
Yeah Olli the beta version. "Extensions/Add-ons and RSS support will be in version 4 of Google Chrome along with many other features/bug fixes. Work has been started on these features already, along with development builds for Google Chrome 4.0" Google is really up-to-date with their browser.

VG, I need your help
I just installed it but I've got a problem:
When I click on the wrench button, I can't see 'Clear browsing data'
Instead I see this: http://i26.tinypic.com/mjr2pj.jpg
Why and what do I do?
JVG
You can find it at Option Raj then go to personal stuff and there you will see clear browsing data

@Raj

There are 3 types:
STABLE channel: Everyone is on the Stable channel when they first install Google Chrome. The Stable channel is updated with features and fixes once they have been thoroughly tested in the Beta channel. If you want a rock solid browser but don't need the latest features, the Stable channel is for you.
BETA channel: People who like to use and help refine the latest features subscribe to the Beta channel. Every month or so, we promote stable and complete features from the Dev channel to the Beta channel. The Beta channel is more stable than Dev, but may lack the polish one expects from a finished product.
DEV channel: This developer preview channel is where ideas get tested (and sometimes fail). The Dev channel can be very unstable at times, and new features usually require some manual configuration to be enabled. Still, simply using Dev channel releases is an easy (practically zero-effort) way for anyone to help improve Google Chrome. If you're writing extensions, you need to use the Windows Dev channel.

Why there's no word on the real DEV version, the newest build that's built on the latest source?
http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/
Mostly those builds are stable, but not always - the best thing is that you don't need to replace Google Chrome or other build of Chromium with it. Just go there and see
