Google has announced a new add-on to its Search engine which is called "Instant Search". When Instant Search is enabled, the search result page updates itself automatically as soon as you change the search query. Thus you get a live updating of search result page. It also shows search suggestions in the searchbox.

Its quite useful feature but some users have complained about this new feature that it slows down their browsing experience while using slow dial-up connection.

If you don't like the new feature, you can turn it off by clicking on "Instant is on" link given near the search box and selecting "Off" option.

If you are logged in using your Google account, you can disable it permanently by opening your "Google Search Settings" page and selecting "Do not use Google Instant" option under "Google Instant" section.
