As you know Windows 8 testing builds show date, time and day name at login screen as mentioned here.
Now you can get similar feature in Windows 7 as well. "myjuman" @ DA has created a small utility which shows date and time on Windows 7 login screen as shown in following screenshot:

How to Use:
First download following file:
Download Link
Extract it using WinRAR or 7-Zip and run the installer EXE file. It'll install the required file in your Windows. It seems it only works in 32-bit Windows versions.
Now log off or lock your Windows and to show date and time, click on "Ease of access" (Accessibility) button.
UPDATE: The developer has removed the software. You can take a look at following similar free tool:
Download Windows 8 Metro Logon Clock Screensaver

Hi,
Just tried to install it, when I replaced the utilman.exe, and clicked on ease of access button, it says "Can not find a runtime environnement to run this" or something like that.
And without replacing it, the panel appears, but no option for this.
I'm on a Pro 64 bit version.
Thank you. =)

Doesn't work on My Windows 7 Home Premium x64 or Enterprise x64 edition. Is there a way to have it display without having to click the "Easy of Access" Button - kind of defeats the purpose of the feature having to click to use it on the login screen ?

if you face problems like you cannot run the on-screen keyboard or the magnifier (just like what happened to me) on the main desktop (not on the log on screen)
1. run the Windows 7 ClockDate Installer.exe included on the downloaded file..
2. clicke remove it
3. try to run the magnifier or the on-screen keyboard
if doesnt work...
1. search for "utilman" (w/o quotes) many files will be seen.. look for the utilman.exe with blue icon with arrows . Copy that!
2. in the windows\system32\ try t find two files named "utilman" and "utilman.backup" respectively.. delete those two files
2. Paste there the copied file...
3. try run the magnifier ot the on-screen keyboard..
*it worked for me,,,, i thought i've messed up my pc... usin 32-bit win7 :D
*please do the restore point before applying Windows 7 ClockDate Installer.exe

as the others said, this does not work in windows 7 x64, and it is not anti-aliased nor does it use ClearType.
If I had not temporarily suspended myself from deviantart to help myself with my homework I would ask him myself to try and fix that.

I`ve been waiting for that date and time display on logon screen... but it seemes to have some things to be improved... and i got 64-bit home premium, so lets just wait for another version of that display ..
