Recently we blogged about Windows Vista look like MSPaint for Windows XP. Lots of people asked for Windows 7 look like MSPaint application for XP and Vista and today we are sharing the same with you all.
"PaintRibbon" is a new program created by our friend "Aviassin". It looks very much similar to Windows 7 Paint application:
Its a portable app so you don't need to install it. Simply run the EXE file.
It works in Windows XP, Vista and 7. Since its under development, there are lots of glitches and limitations but all these things will be fixed in later versions.
Here is what the developer says about this app:
Paintribbon 0.1 offers basic drawing capabilities including:
- Line, Circle, Square and Star shapes
- Different line widths
- A variety of fill and stroke colour options
- The ability to move drawn shapes
Currently paintribbon can only open and save .pic (pict) image files, however additional file types will be supported in later releases of paintribbon. All buttons present in the ribbon in Windows 7 Paint are displayed in paintribbon so as to replicate the interface, however only a limited number of buttons are functional in version 0.1.

As you know, MSPaint is not a serious image editing tool/program.

Hey very sorry to say this.. After i download PaintRibbon and use it, I can only do pencil draw in it.. Any other tools like fill color, draw rectangle, round etc. not working!!!!

Its a very new program and still under development, so I request you all to wait for some time and there would be an update which will provide lots of new features.

Yes, I agree. We must be patient and don't blame his work. Coding a program (I think) is not that easy.
