We all know that new Office 2007 has a new feature "Ribbons" which has totally changed the look-n-feel of office applications.
But a few people don't like the new ribbons. They are very much used to the good old Classic menubar and toolbar. If you also don't like the new Ribbon UI and want to get back the standard Menubar and Toolbar, this article will definitely help you.

We are sharing 3 small freeware which help in getting Standard Menubar and Toolbar back in Microsoft Office 2007:
1. Classic Menu:
Classic Menu for Office 2007 brings back the familiar menus and toolbars to Microsoft Office 2007. The software allows you to work with Office 2007 as if it were Office 2003.
Features List:
- Easy to install, uninstall and use.
- Easy to show or hide tabs on the Ribbon.
- Easy to show or hide the classic menus and toolbars.
- Quickly find and execute the command that you want.
- Original shortcuts are available. Press Alt-Q-Q, and you can use the familiar keyboard shortcuts again.
- The Office 2007 icons and controls on the ribbon are available at all times.
2. UBitMenu:
UBitMenu is a simple way for professional Microsoft Office users to get accustomed to the new ribbon based interface of Office 2007 without any performance loss. It will emulate / activate the Office 2003 menu in Word 2007, Excel 2007 and Powerpoint 2007.
UBitMenu does not hide the ribbon interface, but adds the classic menu as a new ribbon. Gradually you will realize that many functions are easier to handle using Office ribbons. Microsoft has done a good job there.
3. Word Menus:
"Word Menus" is a free utility which can provide the classic menubar and toolbar functionality in Word 2007 absolutely free.
It creates all menubar and toolbar items like File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Table, Window, and Help and places them under the Add-ins tab in Word 2007.
When installing Word Menus you can choose from four arrangements:
- Standard Horizontal
- Pop out
- Standard with Toolbar
- Pop out with ToolBar

The MS Office revert only works with Aero style. Thx.

Awesome!

I have used this add-on. It's nice. I don't like ribbon but anyway now I use 2003 because it's faster and has awesome interface.
And menus you have to click every time to show drop down menus not just with one click with Office 2003 original menus.

"But a few ppl don't like the new ribbons"
I don't know anyone who likes the new ribbon just an office full of people who get totally frustrated when they can't find the command that they want even after using it for six months.
Office 2007 menus suck and suck the life out of productivity.

I don't think it's very nice to say things so rudely.
If you don't like the things some people say, johnathan, then protest nicely. AskVG.com is not for swearing.

There must be some functionality to adopt old features in 2007. Person who are familiar with 2003 Menu are not at all happy when they are paying a big amount of buckes for 2007.
Just to get to know that they are having a anti user friendly interface????
Dan
I agree with Albert, I've not met anyone who likes the ribbons. The new "menus" (they're not really menus, though) are pretty distracting, take up an inordinate amount of screen real-estate, and are not well organized.
The Ubit software appears to work, but I would prefer the option to disable the ribbon. For those who don't need Access, I suggest the easier approach of Open Office. Those who have used MS Office for the last 12+ years will find it more familiar and comfortable; those who write the checks for your family or company will also like it better!
