I wouldn't use ZA even if they pay me: resource eater and need to be disabled quite often to let other applications works.

This is only my oppinon as I have not used Zone Alarm Pro,at least this version. I can
however comment on previous editions. I would have to agree with Andrea as the editions I
have used were resource hogs and if you do not have ample ram on board in your system
the end result would almost slow it down to a turtle speed.However, changes may have been
made to correct this,so I would not rule it out completly. I would more than likely give it a try
if I can get a licence within the specified time.

ZoneAlarm firewall is not resource hog and is one of the best firewalls. The complete security suite which includes anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall does take lots of system resources.

@Robero: Besides my doubt that they've improved the weight of ZA, I just don't see the point of using another firewall, when by now all OS has a pretty good firewall, not to mention to second layer provided by the anyone-owned-router.
In years I never had issues using just the standard firewalls. As long as I pay attention to what and how I install software (something that should be done _anyway_), I'm safe.

Sorry VG but, I was not commenting on ZA'S firewall.I was commenting on the suite itself.
I do however,agree Zone Alarm is one of the best firewalls.Maybe I should have used my
words better.Not resourse hog but uses alot of system resources.Hope I did not offend you in
anyway.If I did I do appologize as I am here to learn from you and I could not ask for a
better Teacher.Hope this clarifies mate. Ps:VG,Is there a tut on smily codes as I do not know how to put a smily at the end of my replies?

@Jeet: you can't. ZA is one of the best firewall and it works so well that doesn't allow you to use a good antivirus... not without a little bit of challenge at least
