Actually the new Acrobat Reader 10 is much better than all these alternatives. It's lightning fast (just try listing through some PDF magazine in Foxit and Acrobat and you'll see) and starts instantly. No need for alternatives with advertisement and toolbars.

Tried Sumatra pdf, quite rudimentary but does the job :)
Now only if someone made a patcher to automatically change the horrible yellow icon and background to something pleasing.
Too lazy to do it manually.. LOL

I prefer PDF X-Change it too tries to install Ask toolbar but unlike Foxit one can use custom install and not install the toolbar.

Even you select not to install the ask toolbar, it will install. Avast got triggered when it tried to install the toolbar, so luckily the toolbar wasn't installed. Thanks Avast! Bye foxit, Sumatra pdf is what I have chosen.

Well they removed the portable zipped package with this version :/
& added added a compulsory browser toolbar.. could not opt out of it while installation.
Had to remove the toolbar manually.

This Version just adds a skin interface.. contrary to the minimalistic package they offered way back without the bells & whistles.
