C:\Windows\system32\>bcdedit /set {current} local en-US
The element data type specified is not recognized, or does not apply to the specified entry.
Run "bcdedit /?" for command line assistance.
Element not found.

C:\Windows\System32>

Now what?

This happened when I moved my Win 7 install from a mixed mode (OS on C, Boot on D) to a new hard drive (all one partition Boot & OS) using EasyBCD

I think I found it as I was trying to use my dad PC with 22" Samsung monitor as I was using my Samsung 40" LCD TV so tried my dad PC and it working with this WIn 7 own logo and then took the HDD off and plug to my PC and it was Vista green bar cos I used DVI HDMI cable that may have too much size for Win 7 own boot up screen as my dad using the 22" Samsung Monitor which is DVi DVI dual link that work fine so think Microsoft may have limited of display size - seem to be max at monitor size instead of 1920x1080p with HDMI port at the back of TV so it up to you to use monitor if you use this Win 7 logo or Vista green bar if using TV with higher display size.

Monitor (DViDVI Dual link) = working prefect as normal
LCD TV with HDMI at the back wont get Win 7 Logo - only if plug VGA and DVI adapter that may work

I may try out DVI DVI into VGA and see if it work or not... i get the cable first

I think the Win 7 build 7600 may have change the boot up screen to Vista style as default instad of new Win 7 own logo - if so that a bad one, it should change as default.

Me neither as it still dont work as I think there some bugs in Windows 7 cos Microsoft seem to be hurry to release Windows 7 on 22nd Oct also I read other forum that lots of people has the problems as well plus didnt work on Windows Experience Index as well -- so think MS may have some more work to fix the problems, look like Windows 7 bugs may have same as Vista when it was release 2007.

Its a known bug and has been fixed in new Windows 7 builds. If the above method doesn't work, then nothing can be done.
