Download Windows 8 Start Screen Full for Windows XP, Vista and 7

Almost all of us are aware of new Start Screen which is a new addition to Microsoft’s upcoming OS “Windows 8“. Start Screen in Windows 8 looks quite similar to Windows Phone 7’s home screen. It shows live tiles of the installed programs in Windows 8.

Today we are going to share a new Windows 8 Start Screen clone for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 users.

Windows 8 Start Screen Full” is a free software for Windows created by “dncube” @ DA which tries to mimic Windows 8 Start Screen. It shows almost same screen with live tiles on your Desktop.

You can drag the screen to left or right to scroll between tiles. You can change the user name shown at the right-top corner of the screen by clicking on it.

  • News Tile
  • Weather Tile
  • Gmail Tile
  • Piano
  • Various Shortcut tiles which can be configured

  • Fruit Ninja Game
  • Many more

It also comes with a Windows 8 look like lock screen and Control Panel application.

It consumes very less CPU resources and can be installed in both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions.

It seems the software has been removed by the developer. You can check other similar software such as Omnimo and Mosaic.

  1. Hey VG, edit it so it says “It consumes less CPU resources….” instead of “It consumes very less CPU resources…” Otherwise a cool app and article!

    It remembers automatically until u clear cache from Control Panel..

    Any problem run it as Admin

  6. ^^ Yes. It comes with uninstaller. Regarding to the color, I cant say anything. You can check its settings or folder for image resources.
