We have posted about a login screen for XP which looks very close to Windows 7 Build 7057. Now we all know that Windows 7 RC build has been compiled which contains the same login screen.
Our friend "RaulWindows" has created a new login screen for Windows XP which looks similar to Windows 7. Following are a few updates:
- More performance in loading logonUI
- Organization of code as been improved
- Implement fade effect in ballon message (Username incorrect, caps lock on etc)
- Background update and fixed
- String Table updated
- Rewrite organization of Picture, Picture frame and Picture padding

Download Windows 7 RC Login Screen for XP
After downloading, extract the ZIP file using WinZip, WinRAR or 7-zip and look for the "LogonUI.exe" file. That's the file which contains the login screen. You'll need to replace existing "logonui.exe" file present in "%windir%\System32" folder with this downloaded one. Use "Replacer" to replace the file which you can find in our "Downloads" section.
You can also use Tuneup Utilities to easily apply the login screen which is very safe.

Hi vishal, i recently used this on my 10 inch netbook, but there resolution seems weird. Also, there is only one account on my netbook and yet the log on icon is very small....anyway going around it?

When Install this logon Screen My Xp Home SP3 is system is crashes ı cant open windows but win 7 is open please what can ı do
7 is not fast as xp

prabhjot if your pc is asus eee pc or netbook its look like too small you must use standart xp login becasue ı have asus eee pc and i install xp and seven ,seven s graphıcs is good for eee pc
but when ı ınstall xp eee is soo slowy try vista its better than xp on asus eee pc
my other pc have 22 inch it s graphıcs not bad

How do I get rid of the logon screen. Also, I haven't made any backup of the old file or anything. Any suggestions?

^^ You can get original "LogonUI.exe" file from any other system and copy it to your system. Or extract it from XP Setup folder "I386".
You can also run following command in Command Prompt:
sfc /scannow
It'll restore all default system files.
