We have posted about a login screen for XP which looks very close to Windows 7 Build 7057. Now we all know that Windows 7 RC build has been compiled which contains the same login screen.
Our friend "RaulWindows" has created a new login screen for Windows XP which looks similar to Windows 7. Following are a few updates:
- More performance in loading logonUI
- Organization of code as been improved
- Implement fade effect in ballon message (Username incorrect, caps lock on etc)
- Background update and fixed
- String Table updated
- Rewrite organization of Picture, Picture frame and Picture padding

Download Windows 7 RC Login Screen for XP
After downloading, extract the ZIP file using WinZip, WinRAR or 7-zip and look for the "LogonUI.exe" file. That's the file which contains the login screen. You'll need to replace existing "logonui.exe" file present in "%windir%\System32" folder with this downloaded one. Use "Replacer" to replace the file which you can find in our "Downloads" section.
You can also use Tuneup Utilities to easily apply the login screen which is very safe.
Or you can follow the instructions given by the author.

apply it ,so how 2 apply it in vista w/out causing problems.

^^ This login screen is for XP only. It'll not work for Vista.

That's cool! Only, when I open this in TuneUp utilities, I dont see preview in right panel.

^^ because its supposed to show Windows 7 Ultimate text as we are trying to mimic Windows 7 login screen.

If i use this with TuneUp utilities after the 30 days will it lock it to that screen? or can i just reinstall tune up after the 30 days?
