As you all know that Windows 7 M3 build has been released and was given to PDC attendees recently. We also got the build and posted a review containing some screenshots:
Windows 7 theme is different from Vista theme. It contains an improved start menu, taskbar and also totally revamped Shellstyle in Windows Explorer.
If you are impressed with Windows 7 theme and want to use it in Windows Vista, then you have come to right place. "DJ Gx" has released a new theme for Windows Vista which can provide the same Windows 7 interface in Windows Vista. Following is a screenshot which was taken from Windows Vista while using this theme:

Besides the far end of Taskbar I don't see it any different (in the screenshot) from Vista. Perhaps you may want to elaborate...

VistaGlazz method doesn't work, because there's no .theme file (as Patrick says). So does this mean that the http://www.askvg.com/how-to-install-and-use-3rd-party-themes-in-windows-vista/ link requires that you use method 2?

There is no Theme file in that link. As it is..... there is nothing special about it....(:

.theme file is not required for any theme. You can apply any theme by double-clicking on its .msstyles file as well.
Patch your system using VistaGlazz and then copy the theme folder to "%windir%\Resources\Themes" folder and double-click on .msstyles file. It'll open the dialog box, click on Apply button.
PS: There are lots of difference in this new theme and Vista default theme like new taskbar, new shellstyle in Explorer, new start menu, new Control panel sidebar, new hover, select images, etc.

As stated by other repliers there is no .theme in the Rar package. When I double click on the .msstyles file as you suggested a box comes up saying, it can not be opened. No mention of applying it whatsoever. Am I missing something here VG ? Please respond as I would like to very much apply this Windows 7 Theme. Many thanks mate.

VG,by the way I have downloaded and applied most of your themes for Vista using Areo.Have had no problems with these whatsoever.Just to make you aware.
