Recently we shared Windows 7 Login screen and Shellstyle for Windows XP:
Download Windows 7 Login Screen for Windows XP
Download Windows 7 Shellstyle for Windows XP
Now its turn of "Boot Screen". Windows 7 contains a new boot screen which shows "Starting Windows..." text along with a glassy progressbar in the middle.
I have tried to create a similar boot screen "VistaVG Boot Screen" for Windows XP.

It looks similar to Windows 7 boot screen. You can download it from following link:
Download Windows 7 Boot Screen for Windows XP
Extract the ZIP file and you'll get following 2 files:
- NToskrnl.exe
- VistaVG Seven Boot Screen.tbs
You can use any of the 2 files to enjoy the new boot screen.
If you want to use "NToskrnl.exe" file, then you'll need to replace existing "NToskrnl.exe" file present in "%windir%\System32" folder with this new one. You can use "Replacer" to replace the files which you can find in our "Downloads" section.
Or if you want to use the second file "VistaVG Seven Boot Screen.tbs", then you'll need Tuneup Utilities to apply it which is very safe.
UPDATE: Windows Vista users can also enjoy the new Windows 7 boot screen. Visit this link.

FAO. VG....
no problem ... thanks for reply ... here is mediafire link for the 4xbootfiles ms update installs
(all untouched v5657 ...includes ntoskrnl ...included the 3 others in case u may find useful for any other purpose)

cheers

^^ Your file already contains the new Seven resources. The only way to use Seven boot screen in your system would be applying the "VistaVG Seven Boot Screen.tbs" file using Tuneup utilities.

Fao. VG...
hi, I am a little confused, the 4 bootfiles on the link I posted are untouched updates from microsoft update ... (do you mean those files contain new Seven resources?)
I have tried a workaround that works ... I used Restorator to extract the version file from ms 5657 kernel .... and replaced version 5512 with it from your NToskrnl file.....dropped it in system32 and it works ... and ms update leaves it alone afterwards .... as long as ms update
can see no 5512 files present in system it leaves alone.
I have also been slipstreaming this file (ammended to 5657) with the other 3 files as they came from ms update.....and slipstream installed and updated without problem .... as I speak I have your ammended NToskrnl file in my system and it is running without problem.
thanks

I have downloaded ur Win Seven boot screen but it is the same file which is already there in Win XP, when i applied ur file it was the same boot screen as before i even use resource hacker to view ur file and it was same as of win XP.
VG
^^ You'll not find any difference between the files if you check them in Resource Hacker because the bitmaps are encrypted.
You are not getting new boot screen, it means WFP service is not disabled in your system and its restoring the original file.
Either use Replace to replace the file or disable WFP using WFP Patcher before replacing files manually.
You can find both utilities in Downloads section.

Does This bootup screen works in Win XP SP3, coz i have replaced Ntoskrnl.exe with Replace utility also i tried tuneup utility and it shows that my bootup screen is the new one having Win Seven Theme but in actual while booting-up my system shows the old screen.
When i used.TB file in tuneup to apply the screen my system start getting crashed while booting and i have to edit boot.ini file to make my windows work fine again. All other hacks such as logon screen etc.. are working fine only the boot-up screen is not workng.
Thanks For the Support and Wonderful customizations.

I have tried this customization on another system(Win XP SP3 Media Center HP OEM) and the same problem is there too.
All The other customizations are working fine but this one is not working, i dont know wat is the problem. as far as i know i have replaced the file correctly with replace utility & it changed files at three locations (System32,Dllcache, Driver Cache\i386).
I found one more instance of this file @ C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$\KB956841\SP3QFE , do i need to replace this file also.
Thanks Again For The Support.
