It’s been a long time since we shared any customization stuff such as themes, skins or wallpapers for Windows users. Last theme shared by us was our exclusive “AeroVG Ei8ht” theme for Windows 8/8.1 which was actually a port of one of our most popular Windows themes “AeroVG Se7en“.
Now its turn of some other cool Windows themes. Today in this topic, we are going to share 2 awesome themes for Windows 7 users.

You might be knowing about Windows 10 operating system which was recently released to public. Also a free Insider Preview build of Windows 10 can be downloaded and installed using following topic:

The themes which we are going to share in this topic, have been created to bring Windows 10 look-like interface to Windows 7. In other words, these two themes will make Windows 7 look-like Windows 10 operating system. Both these themes will convert Windows 7 UI to match with Windows 10 by installing various visual styles, wallpapers, mouse cursors, icons, etc.
Following is a preview of Windows 7 using Windows 10 theme:
First of these Windows 10 themes has been created by our friend “mare-m” who has also created awesome Windows 8 and 8.1 themes for Windows 7 users.
Second theme has been created by our friend “sagorpirbd“, the same person who created the lovely Windows 8/8.1 “Aero Lite” theme for Windows 7.

Download Windows 10 TH2 Theme for Windows 7 (by mare-m)
Download Windows 10 RTM Theme for Windows 7 (by sagorpirbd)
After downloading the archive file, extract it using 7-Zip or any other file archive utility and then follow the instructions given in following tutorial to apply these themes:

Aero may return in final build of windows 10 or we may say some other non-heavy making GPU eye-candy effects as u see in consumer preview of win 10 the transparency from taskbar has been removed.
Who knows what gab aul is thinking. He will tweet soon regarding this. Might be on 10th Jan.

hey vg i would like to know if there’s a way to change all folder icons within a single folder to one specific icon without performing each one individually (mass change folder icon).??
Thanks for share and please make some instruction for mare-m theme like before for his Windows 8/8.1 theme. Mare-m themes are incredible. I never used any themes that are so professionally done. He takes care of the smallest details. Vishal did you saw his update for his Windows 10 theme, build 9901? I don’t know what else to say, perfection. Another theme that you share with us is a pale copy in relation to this and is not necessary in this article. Also update your preview with mare-m preview, and put in preview description that is mare-m theme, I think people deserve to know which theme they see and put his theme in the first place for download because you use his preview. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t lobby for mare-m, I’m just being realistic how serious themes create this man, and I know Vishal that you share my opinion. 😉 I hope that he will done also consumer preview theme and until then all recommendations for mare-m Windows 10 theme.

I was trying this on my 64bit Win7 SP1…
after simply install the theme without replacing *.dll files, the toolbar was beautiful-blue as win10. while after replacing those extra files, when choosing the win10 theme, the toolbar goes to like classic windows… i am sure i did exactly as the READ ME told. and I used UxStyle_Core_jul13_bits.
Could you please help check what could lead this?

askvg I want to inform you that mare-m made new update. Theme now include new win10 logon screen and boot screen. Theme now looks like original win10, colored title bar and many new stuff. It’s time to update your page with new screenshots (your screenshot it’s very old) and all new things. It would be nice to write a tutorial how to install theme, logon, bootscreen and all other thing because his instructions is not so clear. bro, my themes revert back to the standard windows theme every time i restart. i am using windows version 14393.447. i have tried installing every available theme patcher but the same thing happens once i restart. i checked theme services in services.msc. its set to automatic, so thats not the issue. please help.
Hi VG. Your website is so awesome and easy to navigate. I used your instructions to update the Windows 7 update problems and now it works properly again.
My reason for this comment is to ask – does Win7 have to be running Aero for the skinning features to work? I am using Virtualbox and only set up the basic graphics driver when I loaded Virtualbox Guest additions.
^^ Yes. Themes will work only if Aero engine is running.

Try sfc /scannow command to restore default system files and then run UXtheme patcher.
