Recently we released Windows 7 System Properties dialog box for XP users which looks very similar to Windows 7:
Get Windows 7 System Properties Dialog Box in Windows XP
Now we have updated it and made lots of new changes which make it look very close to Windows 7 System properties:
You can download it using following link:
Download Windows 7 System Properties for XP
You'll need to replace existing sysdm.cpl file present in %windir%\System32\ directory with this downloaded one. (Here "%windir%\ represents "C:\Windows" directory if your Windows is installed in C: drive). You can use "Replacer" to replace the file. Take a look at our "Downloads" section to find more information about Replacer.
Also make sure to take the backup of original file before replacing it.

Just "installed" this nice little system properties replacement and I have a problem, the 'Processor' and 'Installed Memory' sections are displaying incorrect information. Any ideas?

^^ Thats strange. It seems your system is using different values for those labels which I have set to show RAM and processor strings. Sorry to say but nothing can be done.

Hi..VG
It's almost done. But there is one problem. after applying all the changes, in folder options > view > hidden files and folders, i cant open hidden files, it automatically resets to 'do not show hidden files' what should be done with it.
Windows 7 for XP tutorial is really good.
