And now with the help of this new theme "SevenVG Refresh" everything is possible in XP.
"SevenVG" is the first Windows 7 look-a-like theme for Windows XP and almost all other themes available on net are based on it.
This theme will make your Windows XP look-a-like Windows 7. It'll provide superbar, full start ORB, big iconized taskbar buttons in Windows XP. The problem of first letter being displayed in iconized taskbar buttons has also been fixed in this update.
Download SevenVG Refresh Theme for Windows XP
This theme contains 4 sub-styles:
- Aero32 (for 32x icon size)
- Aero48 (for 48x icon size)
- Bottom32 (for 32x icon size)
- Bottom48 (for 48x icon size)
Aero32 and Aero48 contain left common tasks in Explorer. On the other hand, Bottom32 and Bottom48 contain bottom common tasks. So feel free to use whichever do you want.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the file and extract its content. You'll get a folder "SevenVG Refresh Theme for Windows XP by Vishal Gupta".
2. In this folder, you'll get 3 more folders:
- Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Run Fonts.exe file to install them.)
- Styler Toolbar (This folder contains Styler setup and SevenVG styler toolbar skin. It'll provide Windows 7 look-a-like toolbar and commandbar in Explorer.)
- Theme (This folder contains the main theme. Run Theme.exe file to install it.)
3. Apply the theme using Desktop Properties and you have done.
4. Also make sure you have patched the "uxtheme.dll" file to allow 3rd party visual styles, if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher from here:

^^ Use Default 96 DPI setting. You can set it from Desktop settings. And to fix no user pic issue, enable Welcome Screen.

IMPORTANT and productive COMMENT.
if you don't see the fancy blue left bar when you open my computer.. Be sure that Aero32 or Aero48 is your color scheme in vista..
BUT if you still don't see it...go to folder options.. Show common tasks.. VERY IMPORTANT.
I thought you needed to reboot to see that..

When I login to windows xp the loading your personal settings dialog box still says windows xp, How do I change it to vista.

I installed the theme and everything it came with without any problems...followed all the instructions to the letter.
Yet when i select the theme, the taskbar and windows revert to windows classic. There is only the option to select windows classic, or the default xp colours.
My system has been patched with the uxtheme.dll and is 32-bit XP SP3
any help>>?>appreciated. =)

For some reason whenever I click on the "Download SevenVG Refresh Theme with Superbar for Windows XP", I can't download it. It takes me to another Internet Explorer and returns to this site.
