This theme has been made for Windows XP users who want to have "Windows 7" look in their Windows. This theme can make your Windows XP look like Windows 7.
"SevenVG" is the first Windows 7 look-a-like theme for Windows XP and almost all other themes available on net are based on it.
This theme is an update over previous "SevenVG R2" theme. Since Windows 7 Build 7057 has been leaked, this theme has been created to provide the same look in your XP. It contains lots of new resources and bug fixes:
- A Brand New "Basic" Style on Demand
- New Light-grey Shellstyle Matching with 7057 Build
- New Start ORB from 7057 Build
- New Big Titlebar Buttons in Windows
- New Smooth Taskbar Buttons with Different Highlights
- New Menubar Color
- New Quick Launch Toolbar Resources
- New Startmenu Separators
- New Hide Inactive Icons Resources
- New Taskbar Unlock Gripper
- New Left & Right Taskbar Resources
- And Lots of Bug Fixes
Download SevenVG RC Theme for Windows XP
This theme contains 4 sub-styles:
- Aero32 (for 32x icon size)
- Aero48 (for 48x icon size)
- Basic32 (for 32x icon size)
- Basic48 (for 48x icon size)
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the file and extract its content. You'll get a folder "SevenVG RC Theme for Windows XP by Vishal Gupta".
2. In this folder, you'll get 5 more folders:
- Extra Common Tasks (This folder contains 2 extra shell styles: Bottom and Left dark blue)
- Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Run Fonts.exe file to install them.)
- Iconized Taskbar Hack (This folder contains registry script to enable Iconized taskbar in Windows XP.)
- Styler Toolbar (This folder contains Styler setup and SevenVG styler toolbar skin. It'll provide Windows 7 look-a-like toolbar and commandbar in Explorer.)
- Theme (This folder contains the main theme. Run Theme.exe file to install it.)
3. Apply the theme using Desktop Properties and you have done.
4. Also make sure you have patched the "uxtheme.dll" file to allow 3rd party visual styles, if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher from here:

Okay guys, ViOrb is nice, but the developer is working on a Win7 fade effect as well... hard. Be patient and it'll come.

Since Windows 7 has a new system font, why not include it in the next update? That would be cool. Otherwise, apart from that, this is a really really great theme! I was going to install Flyakite OSX to make my computer look nicer, but then I found this. I think I've changed my mind! Well done, VG.

when I use it with Extra Large fonts in appearance tab
its iconasied taskbar doesn't show properly.

I have one question though; how do you remove the MSN icon that appears at the top of the programs list in the Start menu? It links to User Accounts options.. ? Thanks.

great work like always! would love to see a black theme to complete this as well. it would be perfect to have a black theme to compliment the basic and aero already in this theme. my hunch says you are likely already planing or working on that now hahaha thanks again for the great themes in general
