This theme has been made for Windows XP users who want to have "Windows 7" look in their Windows. This theme can make your Windows XP look like Windows 7.

"SevenVG" is the first Windows 7 look-a-like theme for Windows XP and almost all other themes available on net are based on it.

This theme provides:

  • Full Start ORB.
  • Windows 7 Superbar.
  • Big and Iconized taskbar buttons.

This theme is an update over previous "SevenVG Refresh" theme. It contains:

  • New Start ORB
  • New Taskbar buttons
  • Reduced Taskbar height, now it looks exact same as Windows 7 taskbar
  • Lots of bug fixes and some new resources

This theme contains 4 sub-styles:

  • Aero32 (for 32x icon size)
  • Aero48 (for 48x icon size)
  • Bottom32 (for 32x icon size)
  • Bottom48 (for 48x icon size)

Aero32 and Aero48 contain left common tasks in Explorer. On the other hand, Bottom32 and Bottom48 contain bottom common tasks. So feel free to use whichever do you want.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the file and extract its content. You'll get a folder "SevenVG R2 Theme for Windows XP by Vishal Gupta".

  • Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Run Fonts.exe file to install them.)
  • Iconized Taskbar Hack (This folder contains registry script to enable Iconized taskbar in Windows XP.)
  • Styler Toolbar (This folder contains Styler setup and SevenVG styler toolbar skin. It'll provide Windows 7 look-a-like toolbar and commandbar in Explorer.)
  • Theme (This folder contains the main theme. Run Theme.exe file to install it.)

3. Apply the theme using Desktop Properties and you have done.

4. Also make sure you have patched the "uxtheme.dll" file to allow 3rd party visual styles, if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher from here:

  • I am wondering if this works with windows xp SP3? Cuz With the older version "SevenVG Refresh" messed up my computer somehow? I couldnt connect to internet, everytime i booted my computer with the internet plug i got bluescreen. But without it it worked fine. So just want to know if it works with SP3!?
    Thanks BTW for awesome themes(Y)

  • Rasengan, that can't happen. Well it hasn't happen to me, i don't know what went wrong with your pc, maybe a virus or something

  • VG

Yep. The theme has nothing to do with any such problem. Its just a simple visual style like Default Luna. And also it has been tested on SP3.

  • Hey VG its a superb theme but is it possible for you to make one without the superbar?

^^ It'll ruin the purpose of this theme.

  • NO! help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I currently am using an older version of this theme and it has the normal sized taskbar but my start menu button dosent have the same visual effect as this on does lol. nvm still a cool theme

  • Re: Jome

I've had this auto-hide problem with every single theme made using the superbar, and it extends beyond the taskbar not raising when hovering over the start orb. It also hesitates to raise when the mouse is hovering over an area occupied by any taskbar button. I recently even tested out a new clone 7 theme at deviantart which does the same thing, but that theme's taskbar isn't superbar sized, so apparently the problem isn't inherent to the superbar like I once thought. Either way though it'd be really really appreciated if someone could look into what's possibly causing the bug and whether or not there's any way to fix it, because I love these themes.
