I have no hope for Norton, the entire time I've known of it's existence, it's been troublesome. It failed to remove a virus on my mom's first computer. I have removed it from several computers and replaced it with Avast or MSE because it caused slow boot-up times or was failing to catch infections. I recently removed remnants of it from two computers and both demonstrated significant speed improvements afterwards. They need to make it less weighty and it needs to continuously demonstrate better malware eliminating availabilities than the many freeware antiviruses that do the job better. Until then they will have to keep leaching off of all major PC producers just to stay in business, I.E. being pre-installed on store bought PCs.
