Hello everyone!

I’m very pleased to announce “SevenVG” theme which is the First and Best Windows 7 look-like theme for Windows XP and all other Windows 7 look-like themes available on net are based on it.

SevenVG RTM” theme has been created for Windows XP users who want to get the same Windows 7 look in XP.

How to Install and Use:

1. Once you download the ZIP file, extract it. You’ll get a folder “SevenVG RTM Theme for Windows XP by Vishal Gupta“.

2. In this folder, you’ll get 5 more folders:

  • Extra Common Tasks (This folder contains 2 extra shell styles: Bottom and Left dark blue.)
  • Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Run Fonts.exe file to install them.)
  • Iconized Taskbar Hack (This folder contains registry script to enable Iconized taskbar in Windows XP.)
  • Styler Toolbar (This folder contains “Styler” setup file and “SevenVG RTM” Styler skin. You can apply it to get Windows 7 look-like commandbar in Windows XP Explorer.) To know more about Styler and how to use it, visit this link.
  • Theme (This folder contains the main theme. Run Theme.exe file to install it.)

3. Download and run UXTheme patcher using following topic:

4. After running the above mentioned patcher, run “Theme.exe” file present in “Theme” folder and apply the theme using Desktop Properties.

NOTE: To use “Extra Common Tasks“, you’ll need to replace existing shellstyle.dll file present in “C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\SevenVG RTM\Shell\NormalColor\” with any of the 2 shellstyle.dll files present in “Extra Common Tasks” folder of downloaded ZIP file.

  1. Hello, it looks beautiful.
    But, is there any way to change icon size in taskbar as the quick launch icons?
    Because Quick Launch icons are perfect, but the icons in taskbar are too small.
    :/

  2. Why doesn’t my computer menu look like in the preview picture ? What did I do wrong ? I did everything you say step by step, my menu looks the same.

  3. ^^ Really? It would have been better if you provided some information about your problem. What problem are you facing while applying the theme? This theme has worked for almost all people since a very very long time. Its one of the famous themes for Windows XP.

  4. I can’t download VistaGlazz 🙁 it says “Blocked: May contain a virus or spyware.”
    What should I do? is there any alternative?

  5. HEELPP!! Every time I try to run the theme.exe i get the following message!!! “The archive is either in unknown format or damaged
    Cannot open D:\Program Files\SevenVG_RTM_Theme_for_XP_by_Vishal_Gupta\SevenVG RTM Theme for Windows XP by Vishal Gupta\Theme\Theme.exe”

  6. ^^ Make sure to extract the downloaded ZIP file first? Don’t run the EXE file directly from ZIP file.

  7. how do you make taskbar icons (on on the buttom of the windows and next to start) bigger? it is really small atm, quick answer please 🙂

  8. i tried it and it turned the taskbar (little thing with icons at bottom of screen) n to an old windows classic thing (same with programs it makes them look old)

  10. hello i cant install bottom common tasks that said :Simply copy the “shellstyle.dll” file to any of following folders based upon the theme style you are using:
    but i don’t know where can i find that to i replace that.
    help !
