Download Kaspersky Free Antivirus (Security Cloud) Offline Installer

UPDATE: Kaspersky Security Cloud Free 21.13.5.506 version available for download.

NOTE: Kaspersky free antivirus is now known as Kaspersky Security Cloud Free.

Kaspersky is one of the best and most popular antivirus, anti-spyware and complete Internet security suite products available for Windows operating system. Whenever I have to suggest someone a paid security software for Windows OS, I always recommend either ESET NOD32 or Kaspersky. Both are excellent security products for Windows.

If we talk about free antivirus and anti-spyware software for Windows, there are many such as Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), avast!, AVG, Avira, etc. But they can’t match NOD32 and Kaspersky protection.

Now here is a good news! Kaspersky has released a free version of its popular antivirus product for Windows. This free version of Kaspersky antivirus comes with all basic protection such as file, web, IM, and email. It supports automatic updates of virus definitions, self-defense, quarantine, etc. It also works with USB sticks and other portable storage media. It protects against both phishing and infected files being run.

Kaspersky free antivirus is very light on system resources and runs very faster on devices. Kaspersky was testing this free version since almost one and a half year in a few selected regions (Russia-Ukraine-Belarus region, in China and also in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland)) and now they have launched it officially. The roll-out is going to be done over four months in waves. The first wave (July) will be the U.S.A., Canada and many of the Asia Pacific countries. Second wave (September): India, Hong Kong, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Latin America. Third wave (October): Europe, Japan and South Korea. Fourth wave (November): Vietnam and Thailand.

This free version lacks some features such as parental control, online payment protection, secure connection (VPN), identity protection, technical support, etc which are only available in paid versions.

Kaspersky free antivirus can be installed in Windows XP SP3, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10. Both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions are supported.

  1. Windows 10 64bit. System Restore (roll back) fails to work. it is suggested to rename WindowsApps folder. How do you do this? your assistance would be very much appreciated. Rgds

  2. Installed without problems, ran a Scan. BUT… it has locked several of my programs and access to the Internet is almost null. I can load my Gmail but any click-thru in the mails results in “This site has either moved or not long in service” and such. I can’t even type in facebook.com and get the site, only that it is not working or has moved. Any ideas about how to get out of this? or is uninstall my only option?

  3. Is this just another 1 year wonder ? – You decide.

    Taken straight from their EULA….

3.7. If the Software is activated with a free license, the period of Software usage is restricted to 1 (one) year.
If the Rightholder specifies a different license period, the User is duly informed.
At the end of the period, the Rightholder may provide a new limited free license to use the Software. In this case, the Software is activated automatically.

  4. There is no 1 year limitation. Once you upgrade the software version, it’ll extend the license expiry date.

  13. ^^ This is not official Kaspersky website. You should contact them using following link:

    kaspersky.co.in/about/contact

  14. @ganesh trane
1st you should remember that Microsoft discontinued Windows XP, that means new features of any antivirus like Kaspersky will not properly work even if you contact support center, so my best advice is 1st upgrade your operating system, then try to install.
I am also using paid edition of Kaspersky Internet Security because paid edition is slightly better then free once.
And it’s not much expensive if you buy from online shopping websites.
