  1. Tried both my yahoo and google accounts to no use. I had the same registration key errors I read earlier. Any resolution on this.

  2. I was interested until I saw that Google wants to know where I work, my job title & phone number. Um, I don’t think so. I’ll pass.

  3. Try to use Internet Explorer to get license. if problem persists clear your web browser cookies.

  4. When I ask for the key, it shows that I have already used the trial, although I’ve never used my mail to get trial one.. How about that? Should I use another mail?

  5. Using Internet Explorer and NON-GMAIL account worked for me at last(in Italy)…Firefox and gmail account DID NOT WORK at all…! Thank you very much 🙂

  6. I finally got to download and install the Google Earth Pro. I received an email from cnet stating how to get the program and get the free registration code at the same time without the worthless form that needs to be filled out. They even supply the registration code GEPFREE.

  7. It appears that signed up for Google Earth pro is no longer required. Here is the message I got from the registration linked page depicted above in the original article:

“Sign up is no longer required for Google Earth Pro. Click here to download Earth Pro, then sign in using your email address and the License Key GEPFREE”

I then enter my gmail address and the License Key “GEPFREE” into the previously installed Google Earth Pro and it validated itself.

  8. So do I have to leave a bunch of personal information to use this? To google?
    Thanks, not even dead…

  9. Guys

Now there is no need to sign up and provide personal details. Google has provided a single license key to register Pro version. The article has been updated with new details.

    @maxdamage
    Its permanent.

  10. Not sure why people are so afraid of providing their personal info if they don‘t hesitate to do the same when filling in their e-mail info. One of the most popular e-mail service is Gmail which is a Google‘s product like the Google Earth is.

  11. Thanks for this but as soon as I want to start installing or run it directly from the web I get a unknown install error. I am on windows 10

  12. The version given FREE is the latest release.

  18. Yep it’s free. But it is NOT the GEPro that folks used to pay for. There is very little useful difference between this new free version of GEPro and the “plain vanilla” free version of GE. They have removed so many features that calling what they are offering now GEPro is like calling a VW a Porsche. For example, try to open the parcel layer in the new GE “Pro” version, go ahead, we’ll wait ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. still waiting ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..Okay so by now you’ve figured out, itis no longer offered with GEPro. The single most popular feature is just gone. And not gone for free, just gone entirely. No way to add it back in or anything. IOW GEPro is not really GEPro anymore. It’s just plain old GE with some new pretty much useless features. Typical Google BS.

  19. Dear sir,
How to disable automatic updates in new versions of Google Earth Pro (v7.32 or 7.3.3)?
I prefer to do it manually.
    Best regards
