Microsoft has released final version of its new anti-virus and anti-spyware program "Microsoft Security Essentials" aka MSE. The version number is 1.0 and the full build number is 1.0.1611.0

Its absolutely free and can be used in Windows XP, Vista and 7. Both 32 and 64-bit versions are available.

You should uninstall NOD32 before installing MSE but you can use them together. It should not create any problem. But again its advisable to use a single anti-virus in a system.

You should not use OneCare as its a retired program and has been replaced by MSE.

I've been beta testing this. It runs great. It found some adware that Lenovo put on my laptop. Very fast scans too.

Do this app will not conplict any other antivirus software?
I mean, when you got other anti-virus software intalled in your PC,
like NOD32, will MSE work without removing the NOD32?
