^^ Download the ISO file. Don't extract it. Use Nero or other image burning software and use burn image to disc option. Browse and select the downloaded ISO file and write it to the disc.
If you have Windows 7, you'll not need any 3rd party software, simply double-click on ISO file and it'll open built-in image burning application.

Which is the best free rescue cd which scans the computer, updates its definitions and have utilities to scan for missing system files and restore them?

^^ It depends on you. You'll need to give a try to your favorite ones and then decide which one do you like the most.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! BitDefender on the usb drive worked! Kasperkey's only works if you have their 2011 software downloaded (that's the message I got when I went to their site to download it). I tried different things...pressing F12, F2, Esc..my computer still wouldn't boot up. Inserting Windows Vista Ultimate CD and restarting wouldn't work either. I was about to spend a lot of money to get repairs and save data. (My son downloaded games offline and my computer crashed. I thought I lost a website that I have been building for 3 months!) Thank God!!!
