Download “Firefox Sync” From Mozilla Labs to Automatically Synchronize Bookmarks, Passwords, Preferences, History and Tabs

If you are a Mozilla Firefox user and use 3rd party add-ons like Xmarks, etc to synchronize your bookmarks and other things, now its time to forget all of them and start using official “Firefox Sync” released by Mozilla Labs.

Firefox Sync” was known as “Weave Sync” previously. Its an online service from Mozilla labs which can automatically synchronize following things in Firefox:

  • Bookmarks
  • Passwords
  • Preferences
  • History
  • Tabs

It backups the above mentioned things to Mozilla servers. You can also use your own custom server if you want.

  1. I love this plugin! I see borwsers are starting to adapt to this syncing feature xmarks was great but Mozilla took it to another level. Chrome has a similar syncing feature but sadly its just for your bookmarks.

  2. from my experience Weave works much better than XMarks which caused my browser to hang during some operations
