[Did You Know] You Can Pin Websites to Windows Taskbar and Start Menu Using Internet Explorer

The new versions of Internet Explorer allow you to pin website shortcuts to Windows Taskbar and Start menu just like you pin any other program shortcut.

Simply follow these simple steps to pin your favorite website to Taskbar or Start Menu in Windows:

To Pin Website to Windows Taskbar:

Open desired website in IE and drag-n-drop its tab or favicon from IE window to Taskbar and it’ll pin the shortcut to Taskbar as shown in following screenshot:

To Pin Website to Windows Start Menu:

Open desired website in IE and drag-n-drop its tab or favicon to Start ORB (Start button) in Taskbar. Alternatively, you can select the option “Tools -> Add site to Start menu” from Menubar.

So its very simple to add a website shortcut to Windows Taskbar and Start Menu in Internet Explorer.

  1. This trick Works in Control Panel!!!!!!! You can Drag n Drop them to desktop or pin them to Control Panel in taskbar 🙂

  2. Need help inasmuch as I would like to add Chrome to the start up menu on my computer and I am having trouble adding G mail account.
