^^ Yes. Thats how we take space from other partitions. I think there should be no problem in doing it.

what i mean is moving the the whole partition (D:)

because i have the ff. partitions:

Windows XP (X:) | Data Drive (D:) | Windows 7 (C:)

*windows xp drive is mapped to X:

i mean i need the space for C:

then in order to take the free space of D: [i have 10GB+ free on D:]

i need to first drag the ryt edge of D: to the left

to make the free space (10GB) on D: unpartitioned.

then for C: to take it i wud move the whole partition C:

[dragging the C: from the middle displaying four-arrow heads/arrowed-crosshair]

to the left eating the space i made by resizing down D:

then i wud just drag the ryt edge of C: to the ryt eating the space up to end.

what bothers me is i dont know if

moving the whole partition might damage the location of system files?

& what does this mean:

"Take special care when moving an operating system partition and its boot code location. The OS might stop booting. For example, Windows NT 4.0 and earlier versions limit boot code location to the first 2016MB."

--from EASEUS site.

thx a lot vg. hehe. ^^ there. ive explained more details. ;)

^^ I don't understand what do you mean by left and right movement? If you want to take space from D: and add it to C:, yes it can be done.

but somehow the admins from the EASEUS forums

said it is not yet compatible for windows 7 and never been tested.

http://forum.easeus.com/viewtopic.php?p=22439&sid=76d21b9978127d3e686c8e071a62f434

they said it is not supported but anyway

what i only want to do is to resize my partition for Windows 7 (C:)

*if im running on windows 7 C: is the letter

which is on the right

in order to make windows 7 partition larger i need to first

resize my data partition (D:) to the left for unpartitioned space

then next to obtain the space i need to move the whole partition (C:)

to the left occupying the unpartitioned space.

is moving partition from ryt to left may cause problems or corruption??

pls give me a heads up, im confused if im going to do it. ^^

Kind of cool an usefull software. 3 months ago i tried to "fix" my maxtor 40gb hard disk that has 2 partitions. I was trying to make just one from those 2 and neither other partition manager work, but EASEUS. So, thumbs up for this program.

Guys, i was using partition manager 6 years before this "glich" and that program didn't work too with my hard drive. Tried also gParted on FC 9 and i got same problems/bugs.

So ... just give it a try :)

(3v4n the h@xxor worth trying to wine it :P)
