I am using the Windows eXperience adn tried dowlading the offline as well as the normal one stiil not working any suggestions

Oh, and by the way, if you link to the offline installer, you'll have to update it EVERY TIME the Google folks update it, as the parent folder containing the installer will change.

I do a search under google like this:

~~~~~~~~~

"chromeinstaller.exe OR chrome_installer.exe site:dl.google.com"

~~~~~~~~~

and there I go, my installer is ready!

Excuse me, Vishal, I don't know what's going on with that user who said the offline-installed one could detect new versions, it shouldn't. To update it without redownloading the offline installer, you'll need to get the online installer. And if you let the online installer run long enough, it will start to make the offline version detect updates, in a similar or same fashion as the online one... One more thing. It's wierd how someone would NEED an OFFLINE WEB BROWSER in the first place... Unless you're me, and your internet's slow. PS> WHO WANTS TO READ THE SYSTEM DRIVE WHEN IT'S BLOCKED BY YOUR ADMIN??? GOOGLE CHROME CAN READ THE C: DRIVE REGARDLESS OF RESTRICTIONS (at least, at a local school's network)
