Sir,
I want to know how one can open command prompt on welcome screen before login???
Can u help me??
woody.cool
You can get Windows to open up Command Prompt temporarily before logon on next reboot.
Open up REGEDIT, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup
Change CmdLine to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CMD.EXE
and change SetupType to 2 (0x00000002)
Now reboot ..... the Command Prompt will appear instead of the logon screen.
Once you exit the Command Prompt, the logon screen will appear.
To do this again, you'll have to run REGEDIT again.

id like to ask, vg, ive already seen how to remove the little windows flag (under the close button) but i forget where i try to look in your pages but theres no mention 'bout it. can you please tell me how.. also my win xp installer (sp2 home oem) has no boot options, it goes on auto format and no partition options, how can i change it?, it is from the pc manufacturer, . ive read your tutorial regarding slipstreaming sp3 on xp installer but also i want to change the boot of the said disc as it has no boot options, i dont like to use pirated installer but this give me a headache so i have no choice but to download a pirated installer and leave my original oem. i like to use it again for me to download again updates from ms website. . thanks vg..
