"TheWorld" web browser is another good browser which uses Internet Explorer engine. It has a very clean and organized interface. Look-wise it looks similar to Mozilla Firefox, so you can say its a mixture of both IE and Firefox.

It saves space by showing the Menubar in titlebar. Also each toolbar is customizable. You can add/remove buttons or move the toolbars.
It has a new, powerful multi-threaded window frame, which prevents the browser from freezing. Even if one webpage is unresponsive, the rest will not be affected.
Like other browsers, it has ad-blocker and pop-up blocker.
TheWorld is the first browser that can disable a web page's sound with one click.
Also it has its own download manager which supports pause/resume function and also allows you to manage the downloads.
There are also a few plug-ins available for this browser.
If you are a customization lover, then you can use lots of skins to change its look. You just need to download the skin ZIP file and extract it to "%programfiles%\TheWorld 2.0\Skin\skin_name" folder. Here "%programfiles%" represents the "Program Files" folder in the system drive where Windows is installed. Suppose you downloaded a skin "VistaVG", then you'll need to extract its zip file in "%programfiles%\TheWorld 2.0\Skin\VistaVG" folder. After that you can apply the skin from "Tools -> Interface & Plugins" menu in the browser.
There are various skins available to make it look like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, WMP, etc.
It supports almost all Windows versions including Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista and 7.

Really this is 3 time faster than Firefox. i am very thankful to Vishal for giving me this browser.
Thanks a lot!
Ron
This looks exciting, so I am going to try this right now.
Be right back, lol
Ron
Well, that was exciting indeed.
I don't think the internet has built a browser with a 15gig.
I didn't fully select the proper folder but instead choose the parnet directory when choosing my favorites folder. And this was the result. I believe it tried to cache the contents of the folder and nearly crashed my system.
Now, my spastic enthusiasm aside, I love this browser. The install is a breeze. The options menu ( choose the more button folks) is probably filled with some of the most user friendly selections I have seen. From mouse gestures to closing the blank page generated from certain downloads. The World has it all. I know it is faster than my Firefox. If the skinning goes as smooth as Vishal said, then I will be totally pleased and gladly make this my default browser.
Vishal, thank you shining the light on this. I never would have bothered looking at another browser. I am glad I did.
much love

Nice browser...Seems to be fairly fast also...Really only finding one problem with it so far, I play a lot of online games which need to open up in a pop up window. Not a problem, they open up perfectly fine, only in another tab and full screen and I can't find any option that will bring this to open in a seperate pop up window the way it should. Otherwise it's a perfectly capable browser....
Ron
Dear Vishal, Thank you. ;D
@Munch,
If you go to tools, options then click the -{More}- button, you will see many more options. The ones that I think might help you are the mouse action option and the ad. filter options. those are possibly the two settings menus that will help you out. The open in new tab for every link is the default setting. That can be changed in the mouse actions, if it will not allow any pop ups then that might be the ad. filter menu settings.
Hope it helps.
This is by far the most user friendly install/set up/interface i have used while surfing the internet. It uses far less resources than my firefox and if addons and plugins are a neccessity, IE's are compatible. It is also extremely fast, and I have yet to encounter a problem after putting it thru some tests.
The only thing to be aware of is if you choose a folder to be used as your favorites, it will cache the folder. If you leave them default you will have no problem. It has some great skins also. I personally love the look of "Cold" and "Exec" is a close second.

How do i make it so that when I click a link on the toolbar above tabs it will open on my current tab instead of a new one?
VG
^^ Go to "Tools -> Options". Click on "More" button. Now click on "Favorites" link in left-side section. Disable "Open in new tabs when opening links from Favorites" option and click on "Apply" button.

Doesn't work in Ubuntu using wine. Sounds good though.
