Oh no. You downloaded a new media file and can't play in your system? Actually it happens when a codec required to play the file is not installed in your system.
Although you can install a good codec pack like K-Lite or any other to play almost all media formats but what about a standalone player which can play all media files without even installing any extra codec pack?
"AllPlayer" is a new media player which doesn't require any codec pack and can play almost all kind of media files in your system.

Following are a few important features:
- It can play all known formats including MKV, DivX, Xvid, Flash, QuickTime, DVD, MP3, FLAC files.
- Subtitle Speaker: New function allow your kids to hear subtitles. Technology provided by Ivona.
- Automatically download and share subtitles. No more searching for Chinese or English subtitles.
- Take a photo while watching movies and record it on HDD. This will help you to create Covers for your Movies.
- IQ TEXT technology: Enables you to watch movies with even wrong written subtitles.
- Converter ALLtoAVI: This function helps you to convert new formats like x264 or MKV to the format appropriate for your DVD/DivX device for easy playback.
- Skin support.

Sora
it seems you have to donate to be able to download the codecs and the extra programs
Kristina
I really like how it has a "Download Subtitles" feature but the UI itself is a little too amateur-looking for me. I've actually noticed a spelling error somewhere in the settings (or features, whatever). I know this may not be much to other people but I can't stand spelling errors
Andy
Thank you Kristina for your comment, can you help us make it better for the other user sake ?
There is in the folder ALLPLayer, Language, file english.ini. Can be edited in the Notepad. If you can send this to me on andy@allplayer.org or just write me the spelling errors so I'll make it right.
PS. If you thing that having GUI in other languages are important, let me know it.

How do i set so that this player doesn't open .dat files?
VG
^^ Open its Settings and goto "Settings -> File extension". Now you can de-select any file format which you don't want to be opened by this player.
Sora

There will be new version 4.0, that has own codecs, so the movies will open faster, and even if the system is a mess the content will be played. Better handling Opensubtitles.org and and special version portable for those that would like to leave no trace of the program on the company laptop, school or Internet Caffe..
PS. We would like to get this program as well as the site in other languages, if you keen to help us on it, write to me on andy@allplayer.org
