In Windows, if we right-click on CD/DVD drives, we get an option to "Eject" the tray but we don't get option to "Insert" the tray. In this tutorial, I'll tell you a trick to add "Insert" optionĀ in CD/DVD drives context menu.
Here is the step-by-step procedure:
1.) Download following zip file, extract it and copy the DLL file to "%windir%\System32" folder:
2.) Now download following zip file, extract it and then run the .REG file:
That's it. Now you'll get an extra option "Insert" in CD/DVD drives context menu, which will make the life easier and you'll not have to press the insert buttonĀ at your CD/DVD drive each time.

(Update) the registry entry i added at the begining was spanishCrack's one
Soulfinger
I deleted them and retyped them still no joy!

@ AJ cheers for helping with this. could you possible check your registry entry (type regedit in run) and goto
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell\loadtray\command]
And see if under the Data colum it says C:\Windows\System32\nircmdc
It's goto be something with the registry?
AJ
@VG: Good point about the quotes being different.
@Soulfinger: VG brings up a good point. I didn't copy and paste spanishCrack's code - I did it manually. Also, note that even though the reg file may show the quotes, when you peek inside the registry, these quotes should NOT be there.
I'd like to take a look at how your registry looks, so can you go to the registry, browse to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell and then export this branch. Then, right click on the exported file, select Edit and then copy and paste all of the information here.
AJ
@Soulfinger: No, I am using nircmd and not nircmdc (the latter has an extra "c" at the end). If you are using nircmdc, please use nircmd (the one without the "c"). Here is what my registry shows:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell\loadtray]
@="Load Tray"
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell\loadtray\command]
@="nircmd.exe cdrom close %L"
Soulfinger
Yeah! sussed it the problem was that under the data entry i had the location of the nircmd & not the nircmd.exe cdrom close %L replaced with that and it worked.
Cheers AJ for helping with this & much appreciated.
New we would solve this. Take care Buddy.

Hi Vishal
I was watching ur web and suddenly a thought came in mind that whenever some error or something wrong happened to our computer a message came with send report/don't send. I was thinking how it will be if u make something that we will install and whenever a error occur that message come with buttons send report to VG written on it. and it will forwarded to u....and u will come with a solution or reason of the error. I think u can do it.........is'n it? but the error report have many address like things..
you will totally convert it like you want ... like the actual problem report in a language we use.
Or U can make widget we will use..........
it is just a thought and if u like and want to conquer all over then it will be great.
