    ^^ How much RAM do you have? Is it 1 GB or more? Also try to extract the ISO file using 7-ZIp and then run setup.exe file to install Windows 7.

  • I have a 2 GB RAM. A core 2 duo processor, and a 160 GB HD. The upgrade advisor said everything was ok.

    I used WINRAR, btw. Not good enough?

    ^^ Your configuration is OK but I'll advise you to extract the ISO using 7-zip. Or burn the ISO on a DVD and then install it.

  • Doesn't work! It has to be the download then. I'll download it a third time then. :(
    I even tried mounting the ISO. No luck... thanks for yr help, VG.

  • Time to learn how to edit some themes. Last final exam was today, so I got til August 20 to do anything I want. So VG, you got any links to preferred links to tutorials on learning on messing with visual styles? I presume I should be using resource hacker. Thanks. Or I could wait til RTM, but what fun would that be? ;-)

  • It was IDM! it didn't download the files properly, i used the normal microsoft's java down manager and it worked! i installed it today! Thanks VG! :D

    ^^ Glad to know. :)

    @JohnG
    Yup. You should wait for the RTM. It might have a different msstyles structure.

  • I did it!! I went into the msstyle with restorator 2007 and replaced the taskbar png with the ones from beta and wala! Perfection. No coding, just drag and drop. Took my 12 days to understand visual styles, but I did it with no help. Noobs rule!!

  • Actually, there IS a Show Desktop button. It's at the very bottom right beside the clock!

  • Windows 7 RC contains Windows 7 ringtones in the following folder
    %programdata%/Microsoft/Windows/ringtones.
    There are 10 ringtones files in wma format.
